If you watched last evening’s assembly meeting, you might find it difficult to believe that Anchorage Mayor David Bronson was once a disciplined United States Air Force pilot and Air Force Reserve Command plans officer.
Conservatives held “hostage,” the Save Anchorage “take over,” the Landmine crosses swords with Must Read Alaska, Kennedy sends ‘Bronsonville’ to a quiet death, heaps of Covid-19 misinformation, and Allard’s disgusting transphobic comments.
At tonight’s Anchorage Assembly meeting, the Mayor’s ‘Bronsonville’ proposal was placed into a politically induced coma after the proposal could not garner the support of three Anchorage Assembly Members.
Tonight’s Anchorage Assembly Meeting (5 p.m.) is certain to be Anchorage’s must-watch TV as it’s the first meeting in which David Bronson will be attending in his official capacity as Anchorage Mayor.
For those keeping track, Bronson’s proposed mass shelter is now $15 million for the structure and its construction, another 7.2 million for Phase 2 and an estimated annual operating cost of $12 million a year.
