'Quick, call 911:' Allard roasted over fear-mongering social media post

I quite honestly never thought I'd see a day when members of the far-right Save Anchorage group would flip so ferociously on Anchorage politician turned revered deity, Jamie Allard. Still, I'm here to tell you the day has indeed arrived, and I'm so fucking here for it.
Allard set off a firestorm of controversy when, earlier today, on her official, not official, Facebook page, she shared a post about an upcoming meeting of the Eagle River community council.

Allard, not someone known for her...finesse...appears to have suggested that if more than four shops were allowed to open in downtown Eagle River (if anyone knows where that is, send me a note), minor children might illegally infiltrate them, whip out a stack of twenty dollar bills, produce false identification, abscond from the dispensary pleased with their prize and make haste to an undisclosed back alley where a black male would light the jazz cigarette of a white male minor — setting them on course for a future filled with experimental art, crime, and incarceration — to say nothing of the possibility that Allard's fictitious white male minor could wind up a permanent resident of Mayor Bronson's mass care shelter.
Literally, WTF is even going on?
The photo Allard used appears to have been taken from a stock series titled: "Teenager learning to smoke with older friend, bad influence of street life," where in one photograph, a moderately older black male can be seen approvingly putting his arm around the white male minor.

Needless to say, Allard's post generated a strong emotional reaction from among the most loyal of her adherents.
A moderator for Save Anchorage responded to the post, writing that it was "interesting" Allard used a photograph depicting a minor illegally using marijuana.
"Your bias is show[ing] Jamie Allard, and I'm disappointed that you would post such a bias[ed] photo in conjunction with this post."

Allard, now doubling down on her post and seemingly annoyed the moderator had removed the post from Save Anchorage, responded, "Thanks for your input. Blocking my post for community input from Save Anchorage was epic."

Epic it was and demonstrated a level of annoyance and infighting between two members of the Save Anchorage hierarchy never before witnessed in the wild...not even on the Discovery channel during shark week.
The unflinching Save Anchorage moderator responded to Allard at 10:10 am and told her she was welcome to repost "without the photo as I mentioned to you in messenger."
The ever-determined Allard, however, persisted in her new kind of war. After all, who was a mere mortal moderator to tell Eagle River's Queen Qaren what she could and could not post to the group after she trumpeted their disinformation campaigns and malaligned causes for nearly two years?
"It's back up with photo," Allard responded curtly just thirty-two minutes later, most satisfied she had gotten her way.

With Allard's mission of getting an outrageous post in Save Anchorage now complete, we turn our attention to the Legion of Doom, where the commenting war raged ferociously, with many members accusing Allard of fear-mongering and of spreading misinformation.
"You allow bars and liquor stores, which ultimately have a far more negative impact on society. Please do some real research before you demonize a plant," wrote one. Others shared links pointing to articles that suggest legalized marijuana usage might be slowing among teen youths.
Allard's Save Anchorage post even elicited a response from the man who wrote last year that the January 6 attack on the Capitol was a necessary evil.
"I'm a conservative but this picture is a bit of a reach. Marijuana is over-regulated in Alaska and over-regulation is keeping money out of our economy."
Even big-time Allard supporter Tiffanie Sand disagreed with Allard's gaslighting, arguing in a comment that "legal weed shops have safer weed and are very helpful for people who need it that have medical conditions."

On Twitter, far away from the Legion of Doom's sphere of influence, one person suggested that Allard had used a racist fearmonger photo to rile her "fragile Eagle River residents." At the same time, another questioned why she hated the free market.
Others called Allard out for her inaccurate depiction of how one might buy marijuana from a legal dispensary, explaining that to get into a dispensary, one must produce identification at the door and suggesting dispensaries have tighter requirements than pharmacies or check cashing operations.
Allard also claimed in a Facebook comment today that more black-market marijuana has appeared since Alaska legalized the sale of the drug, an effect she says is a result of those seeking to avoid paying taxes.
She has also claimed not to have taken a position on whether marijuana dispensaries should be permitted to operate in Eagle River. However, audio (available below) clipped from an Eagle River Community Council meeting demonstrates Allard is concerned with cannabis stores attracting "certain individuals." She also expressed concern that once you open the gates to change the code, "you're opening the gates to invite transient homeless facilities."
On Facebook, Allard admitted today to "stirring the pot," and she was indeed successful, but only because Eagle River's biggest hypocrite did the very thing she has accused Assemblyman Felix Rivera of doing—she played the race card.
