Murkowski Adds Two Democrats and Two Republicans to Endorsement List

Today, Alaska U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski announced that four more Alaska state legislators representing communities across the state have endorsed her re-election campaign.
Senator Natasha Von Imhof (R- Anchorage) and House Representatives Adam Wool (D-Fairbanks), Louise Stutes (R-Kodiak) and Neal Foster (D-Nome) emphasized Murkowski's deep understanding of Alaska and her ability to consistently deliver results for her constituents.
Rep. Wool, a Democrat, said that while he hasn't always agreed with Murkowski, he has always admired her courage to make difficult decisions, take tough stances, and vote her conscience.
"I know she's guided by a love for Alaska and the desire to stand up for Alaskans - values I always agree with," said Wool.
"Lisa has always been a champion for our rural communities, and she has backed her
words with valuable results time and time again. Without her support in Washington DC, I fear that rural Alaska will be pushed off to the back burner. I am proud to support Lisa Murkowski," said Rep. Neal Foster (D-Nome).
In late January, State Senator Gary Stevens (R-Kodiak), House Representatives Bryce Edgmon (I-Dillingham), Zack Fields (D-Anchorage), and Dan Ortiz (I-Ketchikan) announced their endorsements for Murkowski's re-election.
Murkowski was censured by the Alaska Republican Party in March for her vote to convict Donald Trump during his second impeachment trial. Trump has endorsed far-right candidate Kelly Tshibaka, wife of Bronson Administration Human Resources Chief Niki Tshibaka, in the U.S. Senate race.
A longtime member of the far-right Anchorage-based Save Anchorage Facebook group, Tshibaka has cast doubt on the results of the 2020 election and was the subject of scrutiny when she penned a Must Read Alaska op-ed last November that echoed several of Trump’s unfounded voter fraud claims, including that thousands of dead people voted and that a voting machine “glitch” had switched votes from Trump to Biden, which she called “credible.”
