Municipal Election Update: Weddleton still in peril

The next batch of unofficial results from yesterday's Municipal Election have been released.
In the two now most closely watched Assembly races, District 6 Assemblyman John Weddleton is trailing Bronson sycophant Randy Sulte by a margin of 347 votes. Save Anchorage will likely champion a Sulte win should Sulte claim victory in the race, but the reality is that Weddleton's district has grown increasingly complicated over the years and he was always going to face an uphill battle for reelection, especially against a conservative challenger.
I'm admittedly a little grouchy about Weddleton's race, if only because I believe that running a strong social media campaign with a high level of candidate engagement is an unfortunate necessary evil in this modern political age. My opinion? Earlier this year I thought he would squeak out a win, but obviously it's not looking good for the local businessman.
Midtown representative Meg Zaletel increased her lead, if only ever so slightly, in the the District 4 race with today's unofficial count showing her still besting Bronsonite Kathy Henslee by 485 votes.
Assemblyman Kameron Perez-Verdia continues to lead Liz Vazquez in the District 3 race, now by 1,074 votes.
East Anchorage Assemblyman Forrest Dunbar, who led in his race yesterday against right-wing radical Stephanie Flynn-Taylor by 1,194 votes, made slight gains today and is now 1,230 votes ahead of Taylor.
Anchorage School Board Member Margo Bellamy continues to lead in the race for Seat A with 50.10% of the vote, and in the race for school board Seat B, incumbent Kelly Lessens has captured 50.80% of votes in her own race.
