Library Advisory Board to meet this month

The Library Advisory Board (LAB) acts as the planning body for library activities and special projects and makes recommendations to the administration and assembly. The board, which consists of nine members, also reviews annual budgets and operations.
LAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM at Loussac Library in the board room on the fourth level.
If you're concerned about the possibility of censorship or just want to see how meetings play out, this month's meeting might be worth attending because worth noting is that the terms of some LAB members expire this October. In the past, it's been customary for those terms to be extended by the mayor and library director, but with this administration who knows what will happen?
The next LAB meeting, which is totally open to the public, is scheduled for February 16 at 5:30pm and as luck would have it, the meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams!
"Concerned citizens" can attend the meeting by dialing 907-511-0237 and using Conference ID# 849 571 677.
Individuals can also attend the meeting via Microsoft Teams at this link.
