Les Gara for Governor to Hold Tuesday ‘Funraiser’ Event

Democratic candidate for Alaska governor, Les Gara, is holding a 'FunRaiser' this Tuesday, January 25 from 6:30-7:30 PM.

One hundred individuals are co-hosting the fundraiser, including former Anchorage Municipal Manager Bill Falsey, former Alaska State Senator Hollis French, and Anchorage Assembly members Kameron Perez-Verdia and Meg Zaletel, among others.

Gara is the only pro-choice candidate in Alaska's Governor's race and is committed to protecting a woman's right to make private life & health decisions. He's also the only candidate who believes in equal rights for all Alaskans.

Alaskans also deserve a Governor who won't disappear when he should be sending a strong message that safe behavior and vaccinations will help us out of a COVID pandemic that hospitalizes people and harms the economy.

"I believe people deserve a fair chance to succeed and a living wage. I've voted for and will pass the fiscal plan we need for a bright future, jobs, and opportunity for all. I believe in a strong University that provides quality college and vocational education. Coastal Alaskans deserve a Marine Highway they can rely on. Rural Alaskans deserve fairness and police in communities that have none. We need to move to more renewable energy," said Gara.

Tuesday's event will be held via Zoom because Gara takes public health and safety seriously, unlike Governor Dunleavy.

You can learn more about Gara and where he stands on important issues facing Alaskans on his campaign on his website. You can also find him on both Facebook and Twitter.
