You won't hear a lot about COVID-19 from the Bronson administration. Still, thankfully others are working overtime to keep the public informed so that they can make safe and healthy decisions as Anchorage MAGA Mayor Dave Bronson hides from reality.

You won't hear a lot about COVID-19 from the Bronson administration. Still, thankfully others are working overtime to keep the public informed so that they can make safe and healthy decisions as Anchorage MAGA Mayor Dave Bronson hides from reality.
Mayor Bronson's silence is likely the result of some hope that the Delta variant will soon burn itself out even though, as it stands, the growing number of hospitalizations and new COVID-19 cases aren't necessarily reflective of that hope.

Today, Alaska DHSS announced 459 new cases of COVID-19 in Alaska. That number reflects both resident and non-resident cases. 150 of those new cases are in Anchorage.
Hospitalizations have increased across the state, with 132 individuals currently hospitalized with COVID-19, a number that increased from yesterday's reported hospitalization total of 123.

Alaska DHSS reported 5 more resident deaths today, bringing the total number of Alaskans who have died due to the coronavirus to 400.
Since late last week, staffed ICU capacity in Anchorage has fluctuated between 0 available beds and today's reported 6 open ICU beds.

As Far-Right Alaska politicians entrenched in conspiracy theories continue to spread COVID-related misinformation, watch, read, and listen to the science.
Get vaccinated, practice good hygiene, and wear a mask when you're around others — vaccinated or not. The Delta variant is a whole new beast, and any Alaska politician who says otherwise should not be taken seriously and summarily ignored.
