HALO Candidate Forum: March 3

The Anchorage Home and Landowner Organization (HALO) will host their Candidate Forum on Thursday, March 3 from 6-9pm. The event will be held live and in person at the Alaska Zoo but those wishing to watch the event will be able to do so on Facebook.

Five of the eight candidates running for a seat on the school board are scheduled to appear at the forum, including current school board president Margo Bellamy (Seat A).

Midtown Representative Meg Zaletel and her far-right Save Anchorage-backed challenger Kathy Henslee will be participating in the forum, as well as South Anchorage Assemblyman John Weddleton, whose primary challenger is Randy Sulte. Sulte is also backed by the Save Anchorage group and appeared on a January 23 episode of Dustin Sherman's "Forgotten Freedoms" podcast.

If you haven't seen or participated in a HALO candidate forum before, they are well managed and pretty fun to watch.
