Bronson's personal shadowy police force, The Men's Club, detailed

Andrew Halcro has released additional information related to allegations published on December 11 by the Alaska Landmine that there was a growing chain of command crisis at APD in which a contingent of police officers have begun reporting directly to Bronson and Demboski.

Some of the more eyebrow-raising allegations shared by Halcro in his podcast, "With All Due Respect," are that:

  • Mayor Bronson's encroachment on the police force has been fueled by a desire to wrestle control from the police chief and the entire police union and place them in the hands of a select secret group.
  • Mayor Bronson has cultivated his own personal police force called The Men's Club.
  • The Men's Club is a secret shadowy group of active and retired police officers who attend Anchorage Baptist Temple and have been approving major decisions at APD since day one.
  • Anchorage Municipal Manager aka Arm of the Emperor Amy Demboski is the sole female member of the Men's Club
  • Demboski has asked to delay the public release of certain departmental information until she "meets with the Men's Club."
  • The Men's Club's sway over key police decisions has "crushed morale."
  • An anonymous complaint was sent to Demboski alleging that then Deputy Police Chief Asselin was handing out patrol assignments based on whether those officers wore masks even though the deputy police chief is not responsible for handing out patrol assignments.
  • Captain Asselin's demotion from deputy chief of police was related to Demboski's efforts to get rid of him at the behest of The Men's Club
  • Anchorage Police Chief Ken McCoy's retirement was paved by incident after incident where McCoy was being asked to take action by Bronson and Demboski that was both improper and possibly illegal.
  • On November 18, Mayor Bronson, said to have been acting on bad information, ordered Police Chief McCoy to send officers to Providence Medical Center under the guise of a wellness check to compel hospital staff to treat a hospitalized COVID patient with the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin.
  • Mayor Bronson instructed Police Chief McCoy to arrest doctors, nurses, and other hospital personnel who attempted to interfere with APD's operation.
