As Protestors hit Home of Acting Mayor, Assemblywoman Jamie Allard is Silent
According to online postings, "protestors" showed up at the homes of Anchorage Mayor Austin Quinn-Davidson and Assemblyman Christopher Constant earlier this evening, causing the police department to show up at the home of the Anchorage mayor.
I was able to independently verify that the events tonight did indeed occur.
Earlier this afternoon, another Twitter user wrote: "So there's a cardboard guillotine set up at Loussac on the corner of 36th and Denali with something about tyrants written on it, I'm assuming directed at the Assembly, and I just...this year is exhausting."
As I've written and demonstrated recently, violent rhetoric has increased over the past few months. Aside from the Save Anchorage Facebook group, where much of this rhetoric occurs - Assemblywoman Jamie Allard's Facebook page has also been a nesting place for this exact kind of hate and rhetoric.
Does Mrs. Allard condone "protesting" the homes of public officials?
Another Assemblywoman from Eagle River, Crystal Kennedy, also remained silent as the homes of the mayor and Christopher Constant were disturbed by the "anti-masking numbnuts."
This month, Patrice Parker wrote a comment directed at Suzanne Downing, saying, "I agree with Chris Constant. You and other contributors are trying to incite people into making trouble. [Link deleted by moderator]. And I don't think many of you believe what you're saying. You're smarter than that. You just find it fun to harass those who don't support Trump. It's really unconscionable to inflame people, especially unstable people with guns. Respect the science. Protect the most vulnerable by supporting health mandates. Or as the First Lady says, "Be Best."
Ms. Parker's comments were made in response to a blog post made by Downing, who was seemingly shocked Mr. Constant would claim that Downing was "literally trying to get us [assembly members] killed."
Downing, known for writing quality blog posts such as this one, seems to have a knack for writing inflammatory troublesome "content" which appears to cause her readers to leave vile, hateful, homophobic, and arguably violent suggestive comments on her Facebook page, many of which are often directed at assembly members and the mayor of Anchorage.
It's unclear if Mrs. Allard or Mrs. Kennedy will have anything to say about the events of this evening.
