Anti-LGBTQ sex-focused astroturfed organization to host secretive school board debate

The far-right astroturfed Alaska Parents' Rights in Education (APRE) "organization" is hosting an Anchorage School Board Candidate Forum on March 2 — but unless you're a member of the group, you wouldn't know it because you're not invited.
That's right; the candidate forum is a big secret, only open to members of the radical organization. If you want to view or otherwise participate, you must join their email list to get the zoom link.
Some APRE members have stated that current school board president Margo Bellamy is fostering racism, while others have suggested voting for "Biblical Values" mask-choice candidate Mark Anthony Cox and anti-critical race theory (which isn't even being taught in schools) demagogue Rachel Ries was a way to "cancel out AEA votes."
Honestly, I don't even know what Lessens and Bellamy hope to achieve by attending the APRE forum. The likelihood that anyone associated with the group will vote for either one of them is practically zero, especially when one considers that former failed candidates for political office are posting garbage like this to the group.

APRE isn't exactly an "organization" known for its open-mindedness. They should rebrand themselves as "Save Anchorage Lite" and at least be honest about their extremism. This is, after all, an organization that believes school board members having control of school policies is problematic.
The organization claims that anti-racism curriculum is racist and must not be taught in schools. They oppose the K-12 Public Schools Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) curriculum, which they say is "designed to challenge or change traditional sexual and gender norms of society." The organization claims it is not against the LGBT community in "any way, shape, or form" but is "concerned with the out-of-balance representation of LGBTQ ideology." They have aimed at the National Education Association and their affiliates for being "highly involved in promoting one brand of political activism in K-12 public schools."
The organization also believes that LGBTQ+ advocates "groom preschool children at libraries" and that LGBT militant activism is fostered in public schools and public libraries.
Anyway, I'm not sharing the link to APRE's signup form here; if you want it, you can hurry off to their Facebook page and hunt for it — be sure to take a swig of Pepto Bismol before you do because the content there is nauseating as hell.
