All Smoke: Low-quality political hit job on Meg Zaletel fails spectacularly

Must Read Alaska, the Alaska Republican propaganda website which claims to provide Alaskans with “news you can trust,” just plopped out another massive stinking turd, writing in a blog post that Anchorage Assembly member Meg Zaletel managed to get a Municipal fire truck parked near her sign waving event earlier this evening and thus, something nefarious may have been afoot.
"If city equipment has been positioned to give an appearance of support to a campaign, it would be misuse of taxpayer-funded assets," wrote Alaska GOP propagandist Suzanne Downing.
There's just one problem with MRAK's low-quality political hit job: the fire truck seen at the sign-waiving event belonged to the International Association of Fire Fighters and was most certainly not an Anchorage Fire Department vehicle. The fire truck in question, according to AFL-CIO President Joelle Hall, was sold to the union under former Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan, and is free to use the truck as they see fit.
What riveting journalism!

Fear not, Anchorage residents! The ethical Assemblywoman, who beat back the attempt to recall her by nearly 20 points, did not misuse "taxpayer-funded assets," something Must Read Alaska might have known had they reached out to Zaletel's campaign for comment.
Do I need to write anything else? Yes, just one more thing.
Responding to a questionnaire in the Anchorage Daily News that asked Assembly candidates about their thoughts about the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, Zaletel challenger and Save Anchorage member Kathy Henslee wrote that she believed the events of January 6 were “exaggerated and misrepresented by the media and the left.”
